Originally a watercolour over gesso painting produced for an OCA watercolour assignment. My tutor’s comments at the time were generally favourable with a question mark over some of the tonal values. The mixed media workshop I attended last week has spurred me to re-visit some of my work and re-examine them in a different light. This one has been worked further with caran d’ache crayons and conte pastels, emphasising the original contours of the gesso and bringing out some of the original watercolour marks.
