Lizzie and the Bears
The final assignment drawing for Drawing 1. At least, final for the moment. It still doesn’t feel finished to me; even while my work was packed up in brown paper and sticky tape, waiting by the front door to be posted to my tutor, I was tempted to rip it all open and start again. But it is time to move on to my next course – Illustration 1. Full log of my work on Assignment 5 will be posted soon.
Lizzie in the garden
The second drawing for 4th assignment of Drawing 1; a line drawing of a model seated in a hard chair. More in my work log under Drawing 1 tab.

Finished drawing – original one obliterated by a sturdy rubber (working off the angst brought on by dodgy perspective and foreshortening!) then reworked. Amazing how forgiving pastels can be. My new best friend is a chamois leather which lifts chalk and graphite from the paper with lovely results and less damage – still at the bottom of that learning curve with this medium.
